Abel is seated on a leather chair with indistinct furnishings behind. He wears a coat and waistcoat with striped trousers. Printed below the image: 'WILSON & BEADELL, 69, NEW BOND STREET, Photographers to the Queen.' Information repeated verso, with later pencil inscriptions.
