putting these on a variac and winding them up slowly
many Fostex units use identical motors so I am convinced they was all bought in from one company who I would love to find
This head still has some of the original plating but its tarnishing a little there there is only visiable the most minimal of wear liines so has seen little life
Used on the Teac 85-16 reel to reel recorder and maybe some later versions
TASCAM 424 reel MOTOR I have one with longThey chopped and changed their motors in these various portastudios depending on what was available at the time and many are broadly compatible these were from a 424. There is no part number on these just a lot number an I do not have the manual yet, I will add later
