This is the socket that's on the inside of the R8 that the front panel attaches too it maybe interesting if someone wants to construct an extension lead and have your recorder a few metres apart as this could be mounted in a box and then you need find or already have the 12 pin connector plug

They are designed to be used with a plastic membrane underneath that then goes to the switch they are Not the type with the spigot that mounts with a spring directly onto the switch at the rear they have 4 plasic orientation pegs only

they can be made to be left or right by changing the position of the sensor metal piece in the middle of the arm
