They were finished with twisting and a light speckling with caramel brown

My intention is that each half of the blank is a mirror image lengthwise so it’s possible to knit 2 socks that are very similar

This is a 2 ply laceweight yarn. These were kettle dyed with a wash of deep red followed by mahogany red, both applied in a very crowded pot which results in a mottled strike. Finally they were speckled with copper, brown, gold and bright red. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random.
