This is a charcoal drawing of the view across the meadows looking toward the labyrinth that was commissioned by the Baylis family on the Canonteign estate

This mixed media drawing uses charcoal and pastels on a Daler Rowney paper

These are such a joy to see in the garden as an early Spring covering in the beds

The sound and feel of first mixing the inks to make the colour I am after and then rolling on the glass plate is for me quite intoxicating

As this work is currently framed glazed it can be purchased framed and glazed or the work can be taken out the frame and it can be mounted with a back board

Aloft above Bristol March This is a charcoal drawingStaying in room 530 Bristol Templemeads during August, this was a view that had many aspects to it. There is something graceful about cranes moving over a city skyline. In some ways perhaps they are nostalgic, when Churchill died the cranes along the Thames lowered their jibs. I have enjoyed the manmade structures as i scour the skyline for parks and trees to contrast with rigid forms of the buildings and construction sites. This painting in acrylic
