This is  for the E-2  there are three male and three female xlrs this is the female socket and connector

I have seen some minor variations let me know if you have an older machine

I am not a big digital buff but as I understand this a is a time code generator to add code to a unit that does not have an internal clock

Easy to replace as all connections via a single molex plug
