On old units they glass up or worse turn into a really gooey sticky mess( thats maybe what  I will sell you as I am selling just the centre metal part here)

it has a set screw to lock into place on the tension arm shaft

( I am not 100% certain of that) but as I only buy Fostes Teac and Tascam machines it has to be from one of them

I may have some which are a little scratched these would be cheaper if you are on a budget

but watch out
