1980s Brian Kane for Metropolitan Three Seat Sofa in Maple with Grey Upholstery Sold The chrome elements show lightThis is a Postmodern Cubed Case Sofa, initially designed by Brian Kane for the Metropolitan Furniture Corporation in 1988. The sofa has an upholstered seat encased in a bleached maple shell, and there is an incised square motif along the top of the piece. This example retains a label from NWNL, Northwestern National Life. The headquarters was designed by architect Minoru Yamasaki, and it appears that this piece came from their HQ building. This sofa
