Hourglass Carved Flower Vase in Nebular Purple, 11.25"h (Ben Owen III) Acrylic Bowl Stands ’s form and designThe Nebular Purple glaze is a recent creation from experimenting with cobalt glazes in the wood kiln. The slow cooling of the kiln creates the light purple micro crystals along the surface. The melon lines reflect the influence that nature has on Ben III's designs. After turning the vase, the piece is left to dry to a semi set stage. Then, a tool is used to make the lines into the clay. A beautiful accent to a special handmade vase. Measuring 5. 75"w
